Jason Siu has become a ToyCon favorite, due to the popularity of his intricately detailed 12-inch hip hop figures. Jason's own booth (which unveiled new figures from his "Gangs of Monkey Playground" series) was adjacent to FreeSquare Productions, a new company producing several figures designed by him. As expected, they all looked great.

Jason's booth was dominated by a display case with three full-size Monkey Playground-inspired figures. "Cool Lo" was in the middle, with the speaker-headed "Blackroom" twins flanking him. But inside the booth were the production figures.

* Gangs of Monkey Playground Series 2: Three new characters in this popular series included female break dancer "DaDa", gold-toothed MC "Rapper Kurt" and "DJ Bass." All come with detailed clothing and accessories; Kurt and DJ Bass come with removable heads that can be replaced with the included boom-box and speaker accessories. Super limited edition, 50 sets only.

* Scratching with Gravity "DJ Jammie": Another edition to the "Gravity" series; DJ Jimmie comes is an oversized turntablist with detailed tables, mixer and headphones.

Next door at FreeSquare, Jason's designs showed a departure from his signature hip hop style:

* La Zha: Based on a Chinese legend about a mythical female warrior, La Zha came in three variants (orange, purple and white), and was packed in a blind assortment.

* FreeFloor Series: concept artwork only was on display for this upcoming series. "La Ying" and "Kwai" are two upcoming 12-inch figures based on the HK breakdance crew 5678 (who also perfomed on the ToyCon stage).
