Another prolific producer, Hot Toys has arguably become the largest producer of specialty 12-inch figures in hong Kong. Acting as producer and distributor for many designers, hot toys displayed a serious range from the SM/punk designs of Elphonso Lam to the Brothersworker "Storm & Must" and the newest FulltimeEBayer Snowboarders. With a North American distributor in place and a booth at the 2003 NY Toy Fair, Hot Toys seems poised to leap off into the U.S.

Much real estate was also given to How 2 Work Production house, who had two shelves of figures. Among the featured were last year's "Garileo" from the manga Tokyo Tribe, the new "Saru B" figure and the regal "King Smurf."

* "H" Dizzy Poison and Black Destroyer: The latest by maverick designer Elphonso Lam, this hyper-detailed 12-inch figure set features an irresistible combination of punk rock, fetish wear, and scary skull masks.

* Storm & Must set: Brothersfree's much anticipated WTC rescue workers were produced by Hot Toys, and were prominently on display at their booth.

* Sofu & Sam: Old School & Company's third FullTimeEbayer Snowboarder figure, featuring the same detail as his previous two figures plus a trusty canine companion.

* Monster Jr.: Designed by artist Ah Hing, this flat-faced figure is based on a character that makes a regular appearance in Milk Magazine's Playground figure news insert.

* Uncle Damn: Co-designed by Elphonso Lam and jewelry maker Zero, Uncle Damn certainly sums up American foreign policy over the past couple of years.
