All the way from Oakland, CA across the bay from STRANGEco Warning
Label Design made a big impression at Toycon. The brand new company
premiered the Biddies, a series of mini figures inspired by old school
hip hop culture from back in the days (i.e. B.I.T.DZ). Series 1
represents the spirit of the original hip hop pioneers with six
different characters. The block figures will be sold in a blind
assortment and in several different color variations. Warning Label's
figures bring an authentic american feel to the hip-hop figure
phenomenon, and will be available Spring 2003.
Designer Roy Miles has created mini bios for his six figures: * O'Shay: Rough and ready. O'shay is a streetwise rapper from the ill streets of So Cal. He represents the gangsta spirit and speaks for thoe who never had a voice before him. * Knot: Every phrase is classic, every verse a legend. Knot will twist you up in his flow while he lyrically assaults your very being. The East Coast Don. * Kid Zulu: The master. Kid Zulu is part of the genesis of the hip hop universe. As a pioneer of the culture, his words and music because the foundation of the nation. * Daddy: This smooth-tongued hustler operated like a surgeon dissecting phrases and crews. When you call him by his name you already lost the game. *Imperial One: Don't let his laid back flow and slick appearance fool you; the Imperial One has skills beyond any one M.C. If you want to battle him, you better bring an army because this royal rapper speaks from both sides of his brain. * Tre: A classic South Bronx breaker who is never seen without his box. Tre is always in battle mode. Check out the Biddies web site, too! |
